Disclaimer: We've gathered prenatal and medical care resources to help you access healthcare services. However, She Might does not endorse any particular healthcare provider or resource listed here. Your health is unique, so take the time to evaluate and choose healthcare services that meet your individual needs.

Finding out you are pregnant can come with a variety of needs and questions, from tracking your pregnancy progress to finding reliable medical advice. Thankfully, a variety of websites and apps can help you stay informed, organized, and connected throughout your journey. We’ve gathered some resources that we’ve used and liked that are designed to support you with expert guidance, health tracking, and useful advice.

Pregnancy Websites & Apps

Maybe you are like me—when you found out you were pregnant, you went searching for all of the pregnancy apps, downloaded ten of them, and then realized you only liked one. Or maybe you went back and forth between different apps. Either way, the pregnancy journey is made a little bit easier when you have a great app that provides you info every step of the way. Here are some apps that we’ve found helpful:

BabyCenter

  • BabyCenter is one of the biggest digital parenting platforms. They have content covering every stage of pregnancy and parenting, and can be accessed online or via app.

The Bump

  • The Bump is a pregnancy and parenting website that offers expert advice, interactive tools, and resources for expecting and new parents. It provides week-by-week pregnancy guides, baby name finders, registry recommendations, and articles on fertility, childbirth, and parenting. They also have an app to make it easy to find what you’re looking for.

Prenatal Care

Finding quality prenatal care and support is a key part of your pregnancy journey. Maybe you are already connected with a great OBGYN/Midwife/birth provider, if so, that is AMAZING! If not, you may need some extra help in finding someone that is a good fit for you.

If you are struggling to find a birth professional who fits your needs, ask your friends! This can help lead you in the right direction. Also, check out your insurance website. Usually, insurance companies allow you to log in and locate providers who are covered under your insurance. You can also call your insurance provider directly to help you find a good provider that’s covered.

ZocDoc

  • ZocDoc is a free, convenient online platform to find and book healthcare appointments with ease. Discover trusted healthcare providers, read reviews, and schedule appointments that fit your calendar.

American Pregnancy Association

  • American Pregnancy is your trusted online resource for all things related to pregnancy and motherhood. Explore a wealth of health information, guidance, and support tailored to your journey into parenthood.

Childbirth Education

One of the most challenging aspects of early motherhood is sleep. It can feel overwhelming to navigate sleep resources for your baby. There are SO many options out there, so it can feel difficult to choose what is right for you. There are a few resources that we’ve found helpful that we’ve listed below. Deciding your baby sleep plan is personal, so it is important to do your research to find what works for you and your baby.

Birthsmarter

  • Birthsmarter provides practical, inclusive classes for pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. They offer live, virtual, and on-demand courses depending on where you live, aiming to help parents make informed decisions with confidence. Their birth education is comprehensive for all types of birth scenarios, and they offer alternative payment options.

Pulling Curls

  • Hilary Erickson, The Pregnancy Nurse®, offers The Online Prenatal Course for Couples, an online, on-demand course aimed at making it easier to prepare for birth in a hospital setting, taught by an experienced RN. The course is partner friendly, and helps turn partners into teammates in the hospital. Check out her site for more information on payment options and seeing if your insurance will cover.

Community

Connecting with other parents who are walking similar journeys can be incredibly helpful in gaining insight. There are various places on the internet where you can find that kind of support. When searching for parenting groups,  it’s important to seek out communities that fit your needs.
